Personalized Experience
In a future of fashion and technology, it will offer a deeper level of personalized experience to consumers.
The fashion industry is evolving and it is shifting from an industry where designers set current fashion trends and consumers follow by purchasing their fashionable creations, to an industry where we become our own designers. It allows consumers to explore and boost their own creativity and come up with unique designs for display that is different from the rest.
This concept in its early stages can be seen in the Spray-On Fabric, LED T-shirt and 3D printing. The design on the front of the LED T-shirt is customizable according to our preferences and 3D printing will allow us to create our own fashionable designs of any shape and size. Personalization, although subtle, is still present in other inventions like the Google Glass, Hövding and smartwatches. We are able to make a greater variety of choices - the frames of the Google Glass, the design on your own Hövding or the watch face of your smartwatch - according to our own style. Our fashion experience becomes not only technologically-advanced, but personalized in a meaningful manner. The items we don on our body will become our canvas for self-expression to the world.
Continuum is an expert behind 3D printing and fashion. Apart from 3D printing, the company created a software (CONSTVCT) accessible to consumers, to create and share their own digital fashion designs in 3D. The pattern can also be sent for it to be created as a physical piece. The video below shows us exactly how it is done.

Below are some of the designs created by users:
