Evelyn enjoys online 'window' shopping in her free time. It is probably why wearable technology is her favourite topic to work on due to the incorporation of fashion elements in technology. TWC has helped her to understand how or why the world changes with advancements in technology as Professor Shahi teaches us about the past, present and future.

Joy has always been interested in exploring different aspects of technology, especially in the area of fashion technologies. Being in Professor Shahi’s class has benefitted her enormously as she has gained a broader perspective on the different technologies available to prepare us for the future, as well as understood the impacts these technologies will have on our lives in the future.

We are a group of Year 1 Undergraduate Students from Singapore Management University (SMU). This Group Web Report is created for our Technology and World Change (TWC) module and our Professor for this module is Dr. Gurinder Shahi.
We chose "Technology in Fashion" as the topic for our Group Web Presentation and Report because fashion was an area that students least expect technology to be applied in. It is only in recent times where there has been a surge in products that combine fashion and technology and the concept has yet to be fully integrated into our society. We were completely amazed at the range of fashion technologies that we never knew existed and it was an enriching experience to understand its potential in making life easier in the near future as well as its implications.
